What is the difference between the SD, HD and XD models?

Compare Glidetrack

The SD (Standard Duty) Glidetrack uses 10mm rails that are 40mm apart.

This model is available in 0.5m, 0.75m, and 1m sizes, and is tailor made for DSLR's that can shoot video, such as the Canon 5D MkII, 7D, 550D/Rebel T2i, as well as many other cameras from other leading brands.

The HD (Heavy Duty) Glidetrack uses 16mm rails 60mm apart.

This model is available in 0.5m, 0.75m, 1m, 1.5m, and 2m sizes, and is also made for video enabled DSLR's, like the 550D/Rebel T2i, 7D, Nikon D90. The main difference is that the HD will be be able to accomodate heavier camera/camcorder setups.

The HD-SS (Heavy Duty Simple Slider) Glidetrack uses 16mm rails 60mm apart.

The HD Simple Slider is available only in a 1m length. The Simple Slider has exactly the same specification as the normal HD model, and the only difference is that instead of the normal feet, we have installed simple end caps. These end-caps are user removable, and can be replaced with other feet. This allows the HD-SS to be fully upgradable and customisable in the future as we currently develop new components.

Please Note: As the rail sizes go up, the feet also increase in size proportionately as does the profile thickness of the extruded rail.
