AMAZING…what can we say, we went past the 2000 mark for user videos tagged Glidetrack on Vimeo. Are we proud as hell of this acheivement. ABSOLUTELY!

As it turns out the 2000th Glidetrack tagged video was posted by none other than Marc Jonathan de Jesus who we just Blogged about for winning the latest Canon/Vimeo Story Behind The Still competition. What better way to celebrate for both of us than with this up tempo song featuring some seriously nice Glidetrack moves.

Keep up the good work and keep posting those Glidetrack videos. You guys are a truly amazing and creative bunch of people.

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

We were delighted to hear that Marc Jonathan de Jesus had just won Chapter Six of the joint Canon/Vimeo Story behind the Still competition. Jonathan used his Glidetrack HD 1.5m during the shoot to great effect. This is the second Chapter of the story that we are aware of Glidetrack being used (Vincent Laforet used one for competition launch video).
You can read about the whole piece HERE.

Once in awhile you get a Glidetrack video coming along that just stops you in your tracks. This did that and then some! Victor Novikov has produced a staggeringly good piece that totally worked for me on so many levels other then the obvious Glidetrack fest going on. You are going to love this!

Victor has posted a Flickr set that gives some background into how he made this amazing piece. Each picture has some comments and it only serves to increase your admiration for what he achieved.

Over 1000 Glidetrack user videos on Vimeo

by Alastair on Mar.24, 2010, under News, Videos

All I can say is WOW. It was literally a month or so ago we were at 700, and here we are well past 1000 Glidetrack user videos.

Glidetrack has established itself as THE No 1 compact and portable camera slider system on the market.

No other manufacturer that has come out with copycat versions, can even come close to that figure. We are incredibly proud of this achievement. Glidetrack has found it’s way into an unbelievably high number of amazing projects, and just keeps on getting bigger and bigger.

With the dslr explosion, every day we get blown away by the sheer quality of work that you guys are delivering using the absolute minimum of gear.

By way of an example, have a look at this piece by Jelani Memory produced for the Canon Story Behind The Still competition using

A Canon 7d, 4 lenses and a Glidetrack Shooter.

Seriously…….what would this have required 5 years ago?

These are incredibly exciting and amazing times that are re-writing the rule book!

Jelani says…… “The Glidetrack shooter was perfect. it was small, portable, but smooth and easy to work. not only was this my first time shooting video, it was my first time using any sort of dolly system, and a few minutes of practice the night before was all I needed. I also used it with its handheld shooting setup. I was surprised how well it performed creating steady handheld shots like you’d see in 24 or something. I can only think of 2 shots that we didn’t use the Glidetrack shooter, it was indispensable for this project. ”
